I’d rather be blue--from midnight navy to turquoise.

Tone on tone is gorgeous in many diverse palettes. The cool colors that have blue as their "primary" (primary colors on the color wheel are blue red and yellow)-- include many, and varied blues from dark to light, purples, and greens. Wear them creatively together. Here are some pieces that I love. Items shown all support the same color theme, and can be easily mixed with the accessories.
Have you gotten sophisticated in your use of color?

Jill-
That’s a great question!
I love the fact that you gravitated to at least 2 colors that have a big green (a secondary color on the color wheel-combining blue with yellow) component-aqua and turquoise. They are easy to wear for most anyone, and you.
Midnight navy is flattering to everyone as well..
The most important element is your skin tone (more pink? or more yellow?) . Hair color and eye color are important cues, but the skin tone --which can be modified with foundation/blusher/bronzer/and lipstick shade --is all important.
Also note that it’s the color you put by your face that is most consequential.
Best,
Sherrie

Ditto, Sherrie. The photos really help. A question: If blue is a cool colour, can a fair skinned brown eyed redhead (ie someone with warm colouring) wear it well? I am particularly thinking of aqua, turquoise and midnight blue.

I always look forward to your posts. I especially enjoy the photos you’ve been including—just as in your books. Both of them are often at my fingertips and I refer to them again and again. Please keep sharing your helpful insights and point of view.
