8o’s style haunts us!

I go on and on about it in my books because from hair to foot I can't imagine a less attractive period (OK maybe I could say Lincoln's day was not more attractive!)..
Here is another gal who conjures the looks we sported around SOHO when the Japanese designers who began their artistic fashion dominance at the time....so novel and creative then..began their influence. I too was "into" it. But as time wore on (and Soho became crowded and mobbed) the styles I associate with the 80's seem unmodern and today---contrived. Today some designers in their quest for the different, with "deconstructed" looks, remind me of that time. A thin line to walk?
